The Octane Render Image Browser (ORIB) is an exclusive tool of the OctaneRender plugin for DAZ Studio to preview and load images.

- The Octane Render Image Browser is able to preview image files with the .HDR file type.
- You can save folders as FAVORITES to quickly access them again
- you can also quickly browse to recently used folders

A step by step guide

How to add your favorite folders with HDR images to the OctaneRender Image Browser

001 DS Smart Content tab - enter HDR in the Filter Bar:

002 DS Smart Content tab product view - right click on any file and select the option "Browse to file location":
002 DS - Browse to file location.jpg
Windows Explorer will be opened automatically to show the location of the selected preset.
Browse to the location of the HDR folder of the product.

If you are using the official install path of DAZ Studio you will find them in

\data\cloud\SKUNUMBER\runtime\textures\


003 Windows Explorer - copy the folder path into the windows clipboard (CTRL + C):

Note that in Windows Explorer by default you cannot preview images with the .HDR filetype.

004 OcDS - open the OctaneRender Image Browser by clicking on the [...]:

005 ORIB - Click on the orange pen symbol to edit the path:

006 ORIB - Paste the path information (CTRL + V):

007 ORIB - wait for the HDR previews to load:

When you first press enter you will notice that there are red X in place of the preview images.
Give it a few seconds for the preview thumbnails to be loaded.

008 Press on the orange star to add folder to FAVORITES

Now your are all set up.
Repate steps 001-008 for other products with HDR images.
If you know the path information you can start at step 004.

Click on any folder in your FAVORITES to access to the preview of the images
Click on any folder in your favorites.jpg
Click on any image to load it as HDR texture background.

Click on RECENT to access your last used folders

The OctaneRender Image Browser ORIB can also be accessed from the Node Graph Editor NGE by clicking on the [...] button.
ORIB can be accessed in the NGE.jpg
-> If you want to quickly access frequently used texture resources add the folders to the "Favorites" by clicking on the orange star button.

I have applied a fix for this problem in the next version pre-release. Can you pls test it by downloading and installing from
https://render.otoy.com/customerdownloa ... _Win64.exe. Pls test all instances of the Image Browser are working correctly.

Thanks for posting this, I wasn't aware it was still available. I recall using it and loving it prior to that "last" release. Good know it's still there, I found it to be very useful.
