"Dino - I have coded a potential fix for the imager changes restarting the render. However it still does not work for your scene because you have the Modo Film Offset Y plugged into the Octane Film Offset. Is this needed? Can't you simply tick Use Modo Film Offset?"

Thanks again Paul, look forward to the next build. With the film offset, I think that might have been carried over from an older scene which was imported?.. Not sure. But I have noticed that later builds of the Octane plugin has this option built in, very nice thanks.

I tried de-authorising with 2.5 installed, then re-authorising with v3, and am now seeing this:

Dino - are you authenticating 3.0 on the same PC that had Octane 2.25 authenticated?

Dino - Otoy will need to sort this out. I can only suggest you de-activate all you licenses via the website, and you can also try de-activating from within Octane Standalone (if you can get it running).

I did both your suggestions earlier and neither of them worked. Weird thing is standalone opened fine, just couldn't get the plugin to authenticate. Had to put a rush on my upgrade in order for this to work, seems a bit dodgy this was the only way I could get it to work. Felt like a forced upgrade and really didn't have time to do this today. Not your fault I know, just putting it out there.

Cheers,
Dino.

3.0.20.107
- Compiled with Octane 3.0 (3.0.20)
- Fixed an issue where changing the Image values was causing the render to restart
When using render region, the render is rendering more samples than the one set on the kernel. This is happening when using the Octane render region, after using the modo one.
Yes, that is the expected behavior with Octane 3.0.

Paul
This can't be right.

I was using octane render region today with the kernel set to 1000 samples, went off for a break to find the samples clocking over 55,000!.... would have kept going if I went out as I planned. Tremendous waste of electricity and general wear and tear on the gpu.
