Hi,
I just received an email that Octane 3 is available. However, when I want to upgrade, I can only upgrade Standalone and Poser versions, not Carrara version. Will there be an upgrade for Carrara anytime soon?
Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi Sighman,
Yes, works great. Thanks!
Will it be possible to work with 2.x after upgrading to 3.x?
Best wishes,
Thomas

If you want to stick with version 2 I will back port render room rendering to version 2. Will that satisfy your workflow needs?protovu wrote:I am wondering if there is any consideration for the length of time one has held a license. Less than 5 months seems a bit quick for a cost bump, particularly since this latest version 3, has been the most operable version given my work flow.

Hi,
Sorry to disturb again
I installed Octane 3. However, there are some problems.
a) On the donwload portal, it says I download version 3.0.20.11. But when I open the window, it says 3.00.0011.
b) Volumetric clouds does not seem to work. Do I something wrong here?
Best wishes,
Thomas

Thank you, Simon. That might be a way to go, but I do like being in the loop as things develop.
questions though:
Will my current 3.0 version stop working at some point if I do not formally upgrade? A license only applies to a single version, but how long is a version good for? 6 months?
I should probably contact Otoy with these questions.
