Just for info, it's not possible to load a render state saved with beta 2 on a beta 3.
Well it didn't succeeded for me.

Just ran "install_daemon.bat" on the slave and when I run it, it opens normally but closes again after 4 or 5 seconds.
No errors or nothing.

Yes, that's a limitation right now. You have to load it with exactly the same version as it was saved. In the future we will check if we can relax this restriction.enricocerica wrote:Just for info, it's not possible to load a render state saved with beta 2 on a beta 3.

Yes, slaves crash during startup. It's caused by a change in the events during startup and will be fixed in beta 4 which we will get out today. Sorry about the hassle.Zay wrote:Just ran "install_daemon.bat" on the slave and when I run it, it opens normally but closes again after 4 or 5 seconds.

Hmm, I can't reproduce this behaviour here and we didn't really change anything in that area recently. Any more information that would allow us to fix the bug?gah5118 wrote:another bug to report, is when you have a project open, then go to recent projects and open another, it crashes. instead, I have to select new project, then open a recent one so it wont crash.

About the bug on Linux Centos 7.1 Gnome.

We load the radiuses if they are provided by the Alembic file. Could you send us an example file where it doesn't work? Thanks.Andrew88 wrote:thank you

That was a typo, there was a problem with using uniform subdivision.calus wrote:What does it mean ?abstrax wrote: During subdivision surface calculation of subdivision level 1.
Is it about the "use adaptive subdivision" option ?
I can see the difference but not so much an improvement, still a mysterious feature.![]()
Also as soon as "adaptive subdivision" is enabled, the geometry doesn't respect anymore the "lenght unit" in import setting.
The adaptive subdivision doesn't appear to work in the real world (at least for meshes) so we will probably take it out for now.

one thing that has changed with the behavior, is now, I have to be sure to hit the stop render button, then new, then open the project. I have been running into way more crashes lately also along with graphics card failures. as far as being able to provide info for what is causing the symptoms, I am really not sure. I ran geforce experience to update drivers, will see if that fixes anything.
