Runned a quick test and nothing bad on me. Differences in related parts since alpha10.1 is only failure detection part so i don't suppose this kind of problem. In your videos i can't see your settings or other details to check.Yambo wrote:Indeed Background. i probably missed it before.
But the file saving issue solved only when reverting to previous version.
Thank you!

OK.
I'm working with your great plugin more then a year and a half on a daily base, so it is not the settings, i'm knowing them pretty well,
Might be a temporary bug, or the fact the the background object was still on while rendering. After reverting to previous version the issue fixed.
I will check it again with the last version, thank you.
Thanks

Thanks Yambo. I know you well. Would be great as always to give me a scene to test it. Somethings can be missed or a special case. Somebody thinks that just saying the things enough to find the problems. That's generally similar to search a mosquito in a room without a scene.Yambo wrote:OK.

Sure thing, i will make sure to post an example scene next time.
Most of those bugs coming during a busy working day, while working on mostly heavy scenes.
So sometimes it's a bit hard to give enough details, and i'm just trying to put a post on the forum as quick as i can - then try to solve to problem and back to work.
But no excuses. i totally get your point.
Thank you

Problem found.
When c4d background object is on, The image is not saved properly in picture viewer / saved blank.
Take a look at the images attached, one (Crappy) with background object on, and one standard.

Hi
I'm using Octane on a Mac Pro and an iMac 27. Both are going faster with 3,0
But especially the iMac became fluid now. Changing camera with the live viewer running was painful,
I had to wait a few seconds between each action. the change is impressive and this machine, which is not the fastest, is now usable comfortably.
I do not really know why...
but congratulations for this update.

Hi Lambe,
there's another user that has reporting the same slow down in the interface. Unfortunately I can't reproduce the issue on my systems... I'll do some more tests
ciao beppe

Previous version was always debug builds until now. With latest update we have two boost. One from plugin side and second is from Octane's geometry compiling. Guys from Otoy spend some effort to make the multi-processing better.Lambe wrote:Hi

But i think you have also some driver problems. We can't do nothing i suppose. Just try to keep "render priority=LOW and selected".

It's about alpha processing with background image+render buffer. Will be fixed.Yambo wrote:Problem found.
