Hi all - having issues with an imported object in Rhino - It allows me to assign an octane material to it, shows the assignment in the properties panel, however when I open the render viewport it will only render the original base colour of the material of the object. ( object was imported with a translucent black, renders solid black and won't render with other materials )

Object has been imported from Archicad using proper exporter. Any help would be Grand.

Windows 8
Rhino 5.12
Latest octane plugin

Found the issue / solution here for those interested - http://v5.rhino3d.com/forum/topics/mate ... m-sketchup

" select object then.....

- run the Explode command and then immediately run Join. You have some block instances here which can be seen when running the What command. Applying materials to blocks requires you to be editing that block otherwise it won't work. "

Basically I exploded and then immediately joined the imported objects, then applied the materials to the object and it rendered fine.
