Hey, just installed the demo version before I purchase. Standalone opens fine, however I get a "CINEMA 4D has stopped working" message after my C4D R17 attempts to initialize the plugin. I'm using the correct plugin associated with my version, no firewall, no antivirus on, Windows 10 x64.
Do you have at least version 17.048?
Which's your nvidia driver?
And are you sure that just you have "c4dOctane-R17.cdl64" in c4doctane directory?

Octane For Cinema 4D developer / 3d generalist

It can directly render simple setups with c4d materials also can convert. For example colors, some images textures, a few simple texture types. But concepts are very different on both side so convertion for everything is not possible.

Quick question though, do you have to redo all the materials in an existing scene with Octane Materials?
It's not rendering any of my scene's current materials or the architectural grass material tag.
I have the same problem with my cinema 4D r17 and the demo of octane 3.03.02.
How did you solve this problem??
have you read installation notes?diego.garcia wrote:robertexs wrote:I figured it out, thanks.

Finally I got it. My graphic driver was updated. Now everything works great. Thanks!
