I am trying to select multiple GPU devices in Maya 2Octane. I want to make sure my Display card is not involved in the rendering.... but it seems its number changes. Could that be true or am I hallucinating?
I run EVGA Precision Hardware monitor that has GPU number 1-X etc. but I do not think those number are the ones Maya2Octane uses.
Is there another way to find out which cards are which number?
Then do I write 0,1, 2 etc OR 0 1 2 (with spaces etc.) In other words what is the correct "punctuation."
Lastly... how hard would it be for the plugin to list the cards found (similar to the way that Octane does in the device manager) so you can select at will.
Thanks
Peter

Been messing around more to try and understand this... not intuitive
(Using one simple default plane in Maya)
I figured 1 space 2 means use cards numbered 1 and 2 in device manager BUT
Upon clicking the render button and launching Octane rende..r the mesh node appears and when you click on it it crashes out when certain numbers are used... In cases where 3 cards are selected.... it will crash before the mesh node even appears.
If you do not specify the GPU devices they all launch and run fine. And if you import an OBJ without going through the Plugin you can specify any combination with teh device manager and no crashes occur
3 2 YES
2 3 YES
3 1 YES
1 3 NO
2 1 YES
1 2 NO
1 0 NO
0 1 NO
Three numbers cause crash before mesh node
