As the title suggests, a separate section in the forum specifically for 3ds max could only be good, might save a lot of repeated questions and good content being lost in the archives.

As part of our documentation overhaul, we will be collecting together a wealth of updates across the board, as well as a streamlined system for more easily updating these resources. We aim to make our Documentation section the complete go-to source for all things Octane - as it should be. In saying that, a section in the forums for archiving "solved" posts or helpful contributions from the forums would be a great addition.
