Is it possible to save rendered picture as an exr or hdr 32-bit per channel image? Would give more options to work with rendered result in composing software, specifically would give an option to better unpremultiply edges of objects.

not right now, but I do remember Radiance saying it would be implemented, search the forums, I don't remember in what beta is planned.

I was just about to ask when EXR output is going to be added. Great minds I guess sathe (and perhaps my mind just isn't as great as kirk's since he asked over a month ago :) )
CPU - i7-950 3.06 Ghz, 24GB Ram, Win7 x64, 2 display monitors, GeForce GTX 580 3GB Classified. I'm glad to say I LOVE OCTANE!

there is a workaround, once rendered, change fstop and take save several pngs, then in your comp soft ( photoshop or any other capable) merge them to make an hdri, not as good, but almost. Besides it's just the extra work of saving several files, no extra rendering needed.
