Nice, thank you!face_off wrote:It's something that the plugin needs, however with the current codebase it is not easy to implement, so it's something I would rather tackle after Octane 3 is released.Ps Are you still considering this feature (custom default render setting) ?

I just upgraded to Daz 4.9, Octane 3.06, and the latest NVidia drivers...
What is going on with Node Graph Editing? When I select a material in the Materials Pane, it does nothing. I have to manually select the Node Graph Editor. This will make the whole affair extremely tedious to use.
Is there a secret option I don't know about?

This was done because Qt was interpreting right and left mouse clicks as double clicks in certain situations, resulting in the NodeGraph window opening when it was not wanted. My apologies if this has caused an issue for you. The functionality as it was was not working correctly - so this seemed the best solution.3.0.4.11
- Double clicking an Octane Material in the Material tab no longer opens the Nodegraph Editor. Use the Nodegraph Editor button instead.

That sounds correct...
I did do a lot of material editing, and this will make that very very tedious.

There are a few issues with Alpha 9, so I would prefer to wait for Alpha 10.

Btw. any chance of getting a backplate image option ? Perhaps as an option under Octane->Preferences->Background display (If alpha is activated) ? Current options are None, Border, Checkerboard. An option to load ones own image will be great. The other option would be to pick the image from the DAZ->Environment if present. Either way, it will allow to render with a HDRI light but use a different image for the sky / background.

Can be done already - if also not completely in-engine.Btw. any chance of getting a backplate image option ? Render your image with your desired HDRi and tick "Alpha Channel" in the render settings.
Open an image editing program of your choice and load the alpha channel - replace the background with one of your choice.
There are, however, a couple of advantages if one would be able to handle all of this in-engine.
