Hi :)

If I save a project and then reopen it Octane keeps all materials assigned.
But if I import the .Skp file into a new project or insert it as component I lose all the Octane materials.
Is it normal?

Thanks
Mirko

Hi mate,

Yup, this is how it is for now.
I'm aware of it and will try to address the issue in future builds

Thanks

Hi,

This issue is almost fully resolved. The materials no longer disappear from imported skp models. Importing seems to grab a texture reference from a pre-existing scene material, rather than retaining it's own attributes. Texture references for all materials across all scenes on the same machine link to the same AppData folder, so amending this should be relatively simple. I will test this more fully to define this bug as specific terms as possible. Any further feedback would also be appreciated (e.g. does this issue show itself when importing from other applications?).
