Hi,
I own three Standalone licenses, two of them are for my render nodes and I am about to buy another one so I can use all 12 cards available.
Do I simply upgrade them to v3 for 49.- each and use them as before?
I am asking because of the paragraph in the v3 announcement page about net rendering and some subscription or service?
I do not get what this means, so could someone please clarify this?!
Thanks,
Marc
Upgrade Standalone v2 to v3 Rendernodes

Hi Marc,
after the 15 of May, you will be able to update all your OctaneRender Standalone licenses at 49€/$ and you will be able to render in network with up to 20 GPUs.
The subscription is not for OctaneRender v3 but for a new product named OctaneEngine that has different prices based on the users needs. Basically it is like Octane but without the need to have an Nvidia GPU on the master to work.
There will be more details soon

Are their any details about the price of render node licenses. It was mentioned that they would be available at much lower price to the standalone license.
Many thanks

19.99 / month is that price. You will be able to use OE as a network slave in place of a full standalone license on that box, and also take advantage of new features we are implementing in OE like zero GPU support on the client (in which case you won't need a standalone license on the client machine, just the plugin - there are possible cost savings you can leverage through this).pandayoghurt wrote:Are their any details about the price of render node licenses.
