Hi. This is my pc spec.

5820k
msi a99x
32gb ram
4x 980ti vga card

I have question.
I want to build 4x vga card more..total 8x vga card for octane render.
Do I need X2 pc right that??

How can I add 4X VGA card more..??
Do I need X2 octane license??

Hi, you can add external GPU. I use an amfeltec cluster to add 4 GPU (+Power supply).

There are also mobos that can have more then 4 gpu... I think they need risers...
There are threads on this forum about that... Search and I am sure you will find them.

I am not sure if you actually save money by making one supercomputer instead of two...
You can make one optimized (also CPU) PC and the other just GPU slave.
You need extra licence then, but you have to look the whole picture of investment.
In example I do have a renderslave with two TitanZ installed on a transformed old computer with 10 year old mobo,
and another renderslave (4 year old pc) where I can easily swap triple gpu when newer cards arrive.

It also depends on your goal... For a reason you might need just one pc with max renderpower?
