Hey there. I have 2 Windows 10 PCs. My home machine is running a GTX 960. My work machine is running a TitanX. I built a project on my work machine. When I try to open up on my GTX 960 machine at home, the lights are super bright/blown out. Also, the passes tab isn't in Octane settings on my home machine like it normally should be where I can check passes, render layers, etc. It is there on my work machine.
I've tried uninstalling Octane standalone and deleting C4D plugin folders on my home machine and reinstalling, but I get the same problem of super blown out lights and no passes tab. Any ideas?
Different machines open same project different

Hi ,
the octane renderpasses tab is now only in c4d render settings tab.
And for blown things try to on/off "surface brightness" in lights settings.

The passes tab was moved at some point, so I am guessing you have installed an older version on your home machine by accident.

Thanks all. Ok so there must be an older version on my studio machine... I'll check. Surface brightness is not on for lights. Maybe upgrading on my work machine will fix the lights issue, too?
Is there any chance the Titan could have settings that need to be adjusted?

Yes that's correct as guys said. It should be about "surface brightness". It's a new parameter and if you make it "off" should be same for lights. There is a conversion for these cases but maybe not working well on some scenes.perfectform wrote:Thanks all. Ok so there must be an older version on my studio machine... I'll check. Also always use same versions on all machines.

Thanks all so much. You guys were right. Even though I specifically made sure surface brightness wasn't on from my studio machine, when I open the project on my home machine, it checks surface brightness for every light on open. I'm using the Take system in C4D so maybe it has something to do with that? Anyways, thanks again!
Possible. To avoid problems always use latest versions. And read notes on change list.perfectform wrote:I'm using the Take system in C4D so maybe it has something to do with that?
