Hi everybody,

I remind you that it is very urgent to use the plugin skatter with the render function only because currently it is almost impossible to make large grass surface as it takes to generate the geometry.

we are once again leave to retire !!!!

devellopeur of the skatter waiting to be contacted by capitaincrowbar so octane render compatible, I wonder if I should direct me to another rendering engine !!

Skatter is compatible with the render only function with théa, V-Ray, Corona, Twilight, Indigo, and Rayelectron Kerkythea.

Capitaincrowbar thank you to arrange !!!!!

You are more in my case

Pretty please. Its really time consuming creating layered proxy files, just to have grass.

That's the problem... They only took SU serious while Fuzzybro was working on it initially. Then they moved him. It's clearly not a priority for them. That's really sad.

That's what I said over a year ago. And now I don't trust them anymore and I suspect they don't develop the plugin on purpose. I know it may sound strange but that's the way I feel.

Support is important and I'm just seeing this thread now. Let me follow up on this now that we're getting back from GTC.

Simple question for Otoy from a disappointed beta tester who spent lots of time testing and giving feedback and who was under the impression that was not all for naught...:
1. What is the strategy for SketchUp integration?
2. How do you propose to achieve this?

Yeah I've been using Octane for Cinema for a couple of years and moved back to SU for quick concepting and it's been left in the dust lol - such a shame! I recently hosted an event for dozens of concept artists, some of whom use SketchUp extensively - went to boot up my Octane and it crashed in front of dozens of people, not a great ad for Otoy...So wish this had some dedicated developers.

Architectural and Product Design and Visualisation is a big industry, and so many Architects and designers turn to SU every day, especially older Directors.

Thanks Goldorak. Independent or full time appointed by Otoy? Independed developers like Paul & Juano seems to be only model works for plugins... (however potentially unsustainable & risky that might be).
You might excuse the cynicism in these forums regarding SU given the history and previous promises made to the SU users.
Best,
