It seems that OpenCL is not a priority any more. With the Octane Engine you should be able to use a Mac Pro without a Nvidia gpu (or even without a GPU) and render via a Nvidia GPU monster somewhere within the network. So that causes less issues with Macs but still questions remain.
So please Goldorak or Abstrax shed some light. We have so many options now on the table:
1. OpenCL support that was announced a year ago for Octane 3.
2. Then a mysterious Cuda compiler so Octane can be used on CPU as well as AMD cards.
3. And we have now the anouncement of the CPU support (only!?) with Octane 3.1.
Which routes are dropped now and why and how is the roadmap for non Nvidia Hardware exactly looking?
When should the Octane Engine be ready and is it only a supscription model or also possible to purchase a license?
Thanks
