I think it would be a good idea if the ORC pricing would be confidential and made available only to Octane license owners. It would give more room to artists to negotiate about projects and fees.
What do you all think about this?

good Idea

Hey Goldorak,

When are the Otoy sessions? I searched the mygtc portal but couldn't find anything under 'Otoy' or 'Octane'

Thanks,

ORC pricing is not going to much of a secret when the price and cost will be made public along with 3.0 price.

So according to GTC the price for ORC is roughly 10$ per hour for 800 octane bench system, is that right? So that's $240 per day, or $1680 per week if those numbers are right. Currently Ultra render offer renderfarm rental of 850 Octane bench system at $950 per week... Cost of amazon is what, 20 dollars a day for a 400 Octane Bench system...

yeah 10 bucks an hour for 800 octane bench isn't great. but its pretty awesome for the average user.

just can't wait to get that GPU bump to 20 gpus in octane 3.

Dunno about that... it's practically double the price of currently available render farms and almost 10X more expensive than using amazon AMIs. Less hassle to set up though I guess.

The slideshow says $9,99 per MONTH, not per hour. Am I missing something?
