Cannot run Rhino plugin of Octane

Hi,

I have downloaded the standalone version of Octane, as well as the octane rhino plugin (both demo versions).

After installing, I get the notification: 'Error starting Octane - Could not load Octane2WrapperDemo.dll".

After suppressing this message, whenever I try to start a render, I get the message: Exception in Render bij PhysicalSoftware.OctaneRender.RhinoPlugin.OctaneWrapper.PauseRenderij() bij etc etc.

Anyone has an idea how to fix this?

Hi - does Octane Standalone work? What graphics card and NVidia driver versions are you running? Which OctaneRender for Rhino plugin installer version have you used (ie. the filename pls).

In most cases "Could not load Octane2WrapperDemo.dll" means your Nvidia drivers were not installed, or were not recent enough. You need at least version 353.

Hi, thnx for your answer. I am using a nvidia gtx 660, and the latest drivers from the nvidia website. Software verstond I am uncertain, but I doenloaded them yesterday from the octane website.

I am running rhino 5 (32 bit I think).

Hi Jan - Octane is 64bit only. It will not run on Windows 32 bit.

Thnx for your answer. Maybe I did not describe it clearly, but I do run windows 10 64 bit, but I think my Rhino 5 installation is 32 bit. I need to check later this day.

But I think Octane should work, even though I have a 32 bit Rhino (if I have), since the octane installation runs separately.

Hi Jan - the plugin will not work with Rhino 32bit. It need to be 64bit Rhino.
