Noise grid artifact

Hello

So I'm not sure if I'm doing anything stupid but,
does anyone know why im getting these artifacts? Its a regular grid of noise. its quite faint so you have to look close.

Its the first time im using octane to render out a 4k image. before this i havent had any issues.
these are the settings im using and i am using a i7 gtx580 pc.

i mean, there are images there but they are nearly black. soooo... i don't know the correct answer to the question :lol:

the grain shows up best against the black. This might help.

could you share a simple scene that shows the effect?
It's a bit hard to say judging only from the images already posted :roll:
