why not make a default included fake shadows in the material, people are faced with the problems of not understanding why the light does not pass the glass and liquid
and why something is not working in the engine caustic pach tracing , in the previous version 1.0 everything worked

update / edit:
@ unica: thanks for the link.
removed parts of the thread that assumed fake shadows would affect render speed

I was under the impression that the guidelines are:

- enable "fake shadows" for noise free renders when light is passing trough glass
- use "fake shadows" for fog mediums

Nevertheless it is called "fake" for a reason

- you will not be able to achieve realistic caustics with "fake shadows" activated

Maybe a solution could be to rework the liveDB with a selection of official Otoy material presets for two different types of uses:

- material presets for a realistic simulation of physically accurate materials with caustics
- material presets optimised for speed and noise reduction

If the live DB would offer some guidance in which case the materials are supposed to be used then maybe users would be less confused?
