Noise in window reflection

Thanks for the ideas, everyone. Unfortunately, nothing gave me the results I was looking for and I need to get this scene sent off to render, so I just deleted the glass and kept the window frames. Again, the windows aren't the focal point and I don't want the noise to draw attention away from the real purpose of the scene. I'll keep playing around with my issue in other future files, but this one will just have to go without.

Instead of using a specular material, have you tried using a glossy material with low opacity? There is a material in the live db, I think it's called fake falloff glass; that provides a nice base to work from.

Another option might be to render only the windows in a separate pass, then when compositing, use neat video to reduce the noise. Or you could do it all in one pass, leave the windows noisy, add invisible object buffer to help after effects in terms of where to mask the windows, and only use those masks for a separate layer and reduce noise in neat video there.
