Since I updated to 2.25.3 I have a flashy render at low samples. I have updated both the C4D and Standalone as advised. My GPU drivers are up to date. Material PNG sequences are flashing too. It seems like Octane is rendering in a different way now. Not sure how to explain it. It flashes black at first then starts to render but almost seems to repeat the process halfway through the sample count. One of my favorite things about Octane is the ability to render non flashy low sample pre vis for clients. It was grainy but never flashing like old C4D GI renders. Not sure what is going on. I reverted back to 2.24.2 and it's the same. GPU issue?
Dual 780ti's, 1 770 GTX. Latest drivers installed.

Any sample to show what you mean? Latest version is best of all older versions.

Disable and try with coherent ratio=0. It causes flashes on low samples.
Also no need to use diffuse for previews. AO will help much on low samples as 32-64.

Thanks. Btw i'm not writing the renderer, just plugin.thekid87 wrote:Thanks. I just noticed on the Old version the coherent ratio. I'll try that. Thanks for the quick responses! You're the best. Keep up the great work!
