Okay so I loaded the latest version and I cant render a scene now. When I Open Vewport it checks and converts material, transfers the scene to Octane and processes all the meshes but it never starts rendering the scene. Should I revert back to the previous version?
i7 6800K (6 core), 24 GB, GTX 1080 8gb, Titan X 12gb
What does the Octane Log report pls? Did you make sure your Nvidia driver was as per the release msg?

My bad. updating Nvidia driver now....i7 6800K (6 core), 24 GB, GTX 1080 8gb, Titan X 12gb
Okay I pulled my head out of my arse so you can totally disregard this post! This is a classic example of RTFM! After updating the Nvidia driver, all is good in render land.
