Could i make great render without noise? But if i will not use neatimage or any program. What is cause to have noise? Time for render or setting render or GPU-hardware or it's normal for program or something?

Thanks a lot.

Hi noise is a normal side effect of unbiased rendering, you need to wait until the render has 'converged' to a result you are happy with in terms of noise.

Some After plugins should have capabilities to reduce this noise.

It all comes down to letting the render to its thing. Merging to renders of an hour would probably look pretty good, but you might get a better result with a single render rendering longer. All depends on your scene (interiors generally have more noise). Yes a fast gpu would give you a better result faster. Will it reduce the noise? Probably not. Everyone will tell you that you should use one of the newer fermi based gpus. They're just better with Octane.

Hi, all

Thank you for all advise. Could i ask you about PSU for two GPU as you used. Now i used Coolermaster GX750w. for 1-GPU, 1 HDD. I've planed to used 1xGTX470 + 1xGTX480.Is it enough?

Thank you.

i'd wait a bit and see if the new GTX460 card is good. they have 2GB models and you can definately use that RAM.
2 of those will definately be a treat.

PSU's always get tricky. Check how many amps you have on the +12v rail(s). The 470 needs something around 18 amps alone and the 480 needs something around 20 amps. So those things alone require 38'ish. Then you have to add the HDD and any other components using the 4pin molex connectors together. Single +12v rail PSU's are generally liked better then ones that have multiple ones as you never really know which connector uses which +12v rail.

since changing rayepsilon was not meant for blending renders I would like to know if there is something like the "cpu id" option in maxwell planed for octane ?
