blender 2.77 octane 3.x alpha ?

Will there be an alpha of octane 3.x for blender 2.77 that will integrate OpenVDB caching for smoke simulations ?? Will we be able to create smoke simulation in blender ??

You can already do it, just load in the cache files. You will need to rotate them so they are oriented correctly. I tested it this morning and it works fine.

Yes this is working - but, did you know that blender 2.77 suports Fire&Smoke in cylces via GPU ?
Just testes id - absolutely fast :)

nooo way, if they had released 2.77 only 14 deays earlier....

how´s this done? am I missing something? blend smoke cache is not vdb right?

Oh boy I´ve just seen that you can now choose openVDB for smoke caching. how could they keep that secret for so long... and who needs houdini now... ;)
