Hi;
I posted a question about UDIM 2 months ago,
I see that other threads don't have any answers from the dev...

Is there any life here ?
Any news about V3 ?

Obviously it is dead, at least Blender plugin area. Really disappointed with this plugin support and development. Especially if you consider that they charge for it 140E, which is really really too expensive for plugin, with non existing support. Lesson learned.

No, it's not dead, just slumbering. ;) This happens when the devs are deeply embedded into doing new code, in this case it's for V3. Soon it will be active again, I'm assuming that they are getting ready for GTC.

Thanks but that requires a Facebook login and I absolutely refuse to join Facebook. :D

Not all devs are equal ;)

Some devs post frequently, release updates regularly and are generally more accessible in the forum. We all know who they are.

Some plugins and devs are the opposite of this, and we have been promised more support is coming, which we all hope will help.

From my side, we've had almost 2 months without a version 3 to test (for Maya, Max and Blender), in comparison to other plugins, and the latest Maya forum comments, said something about Jim being super busy - this doesn't sound like Otoy have found any more support just yet.

Such a shame, man.

Our internal V3 plug-ins are not being ignored. On the contrary, they are under heavy development (we are also bringing on new resources in the coming weeks for Maya). These plug-ins have to be heavily refactored to support an experimental and important feature we have wanted to bring to Octane, but weren't sure was viable. To make it happen (and now is the time) we need to validate that it works first through our own V3 plug-ins before exposing it in the SDK for 3rd party plug-ins .

At GTC we will do a deep dive on how this feature works, and map out its implications (which are many). At that time, possibly sooner, we'd also like to release a beta of all 3 plug-ins on the forums.
