Hello, New Question:
Now I consider buying the Z10PE-D8 WS from Asus instead of a single Socket
First i wanted to buy the ASRock X99 WS-E, Mainboard with a core i7 5960x
but now i am thinking of future upgrading possibilities for CPU also. Not only for the GPUs as i am starting with 2 Cards ( Titan 6GB und GTX 980ti)
Here is my Question:
If i want to start with one CPU and upgrade to a second one in the future:
CPU, 8 Core Intel® Xeon® Prozessor E5-2630 V3
Will that single CPU sitting on the right socket support all PCIe Slots, or are some Lanes connected to the other socket?
Or can all PCIe Slots "reach" that one Xeon Processor until i have just one equiped?
In that way the System would be upgradeable in GPU and CPU terms.
Does a Single CPU on a dual Socket Board support all PCIe?

So what I deduced - CPU #1 handles PCIE slots 1 2 3 4, CPU #2 - 5 6 7.

ok, i see.
what i wanted to so as long as i don`t have 3 oder 4 cards but only two was
to leave one PCIe Bank Space between the two Cards i am starting of with.
Meaning Bank 1+2 for 1st Card, leave 3 empty - PCIe Bang for the 2nd card.
After the description this won`t work .
But this would work on the Asrock with Core i7 wouldn`t it?
What would you suggest?
