Has the extreme lagging in the viewport after installing octane finally been fixed?

Has this issue been reported to me as a bug previously? I don't recall it.Elele wrote:Has the extreme lagging in the viewport after installing octane finally been fixed?

I have been having an issue when selecting a material the Node window will pop up on it's own and when i try to move it out of the way or close it; it will jump up outside the monitors view making it impossible to close or drag the window. The only way to fix it is to uninstall and reinstall Octane software. This has been a issue for a while now, just thought i would mention it.
Edit : Perhaps code in a check if the windows position is > the monitor resolution then force its position back to be <= the resolution of the monitor.

What version of the plugin are you using pls? Can you give me the exact set of steps which causes this to happen for you? Have you tried solution 7 from the FAQ? https://docs.otoy.com/DazStudio/?page_id=15I have been having an issue when selecting a material the Node window will pop up on it's own and when i try to move it out of the way or close it; it will jump up outside the monitors view making it impossible to close or drag the window. This screen capture was taken with Daz 4.9 w / OctaneRender for DAZ Studio 3.0.4.10 (64 bit), however this has been an issue for a long time now since around Octane 2.2 i think.
If you shift + click to select multiple materials and quickly click the right mouse button to bring up the context menu in order to delete the selected materials; sometimes the Node window will open all by its self with an exaggerated height and the nodes may be stretched across the node view. simply clicking on the node window to move one of these nodes or attempting to move the node window will cause it to jump outside the screen.
Sometimes just right clicking on a material to open the context menu will open the node window. Can be frustrating.
It only appears to be these random opening of the node window that the problem can occur as opening the node window with the node window button allows you to use and close the node window properly.
I don't know if it matters but I am running dual monitors. Monitor 1 2560 x 1440 landscape & Monitor 2 portrait 1200 x 1920.

Left Click + Right Click or Left Click + MMB opens the node window too.
If you right click or MMB to soon after a left click. It looks like the API is registering a mouse button down event on the first left click but will recognize any mouse button click as an acceptable mouse button down event for the second click if the time between clicks <= the double click timer to open the Node Widow.
1.Left click material
2.Right click for context menu.. O no Node Window.
1.Left click material
2.wait
3. Right click for context menu.. Got the context menu.
Hope that makes sense

For me a fix is to turn the monitor off and on again. I'm on dual monitors, I don't know if this will work on a single monitor setup.

@DrHemulen
I can confirm that this works perfect.
7) One of the plugin windows is too large for my monitor and I cannot close it
Select Window->Workspace->Off Screen Pane (Tab) Groups, which should re-position the panel so it can be closed.
LOL turning the monitor off works too.. As long as the window that you want to be affected is on the monitor being turned off. I do not think it will work on a single monitor setup because there is nothing to move the windows too.I have the same on 2.24 / Daz 4.8
