Can't install C4D demo. Win64

Help!!!

Can't seem to install C4D demo on win running C4D R17. First of all, it's not an installer but a zip file. So after extracting, I move the folder with all files included in the demo zip (except r13-16 files b/c I'm running r17) and place them in the AppData/Roaming/MAXON/CINEMA 4D R17/plugins/c4dOctane and when I launch C4D, nothing!!! I don't see the Octane tab.

What am I doing wrong??

Hi tradingnoob,
the correct path where to uncompress the c4d demo is:
C:/Program Files/Maxon/CINEMA 4D R17/plugins
Then, please read the txt file
Please, use the zip file linked in this post, currently there is a problem with the file in the demo download section:
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=52534#p263895
Please, let us know if you have other issues

Thanks for the reply but, you know what, I actually tried that already. I've download that exact zip and have tried putting the files directly in the Programs folder but I still didn't see the tab.

Hi,
have you installed the latest nvidia drivers?
What about the Standalone Demo?
Can you see your GPUs listed in the viewport infobar?

That should be version problem. You need to apply latest update of C4D.
