I am a digital designer. I use the Adobe Suite for Motion Graphics and Video Editing, and Cinema 4D for 3D. From time to time I use the native Render Engine from C4D but most of the time I use Octane Render.
I am looking to build a more powerful system than the one I have right now (check my signature for specs).
Here's the list:
MSI Z179 Krait ATX
Intel Quad Core™ i7-6700 Processor - Liquid Cooled
32 GB DDR4 RAM
Corsair 750W PSU
24x Asus DVD-RW combo
PCI-Express Wireless-N Adapter
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980ti 6GB - Overclocked
240Gb SSD + 1TB HDD (x2 in Raid 1)
Windows 10 Home Premium 64 bit
NOTE: I am not building this myself. Long story short, I do not live in the US and shipping parts here it's just very complicated and time consuming, believe me on this. So, I am planning on using a pre-build company like Xidax or OriginPC. I get to select the parts I want, and they build it, test it and ship it for me, I also get lifetime warranty.
I am also looking to build a system that's future proof, meaning that will last me a good 3-5 years and that later on if I want to upgrade to more powerful parts, I can.
What do you guys think? Any suggestions? Is this a good system to buy? specially for using Octane Render and other applications like after effects and C4D?

Pascal GPUs will likely be released before summer [ http://www.christiantoday.com/article/n ... /78557.htm ] and may, even in the initial phase, be sufficiently faster than the 980 TIs to justify the wait. But if that's too far off for your needs, the 980 TI is a fine choice among what's available for purchase today. However, future proofing, even in terms of 3-5 years is likely too wishful, given the technology leap that Pascals and Voltas are hyped to be bringing [ http://wccftech.com/nvidia-pascal-gpu-analysis/ ]. Plus, when the Pascals drop, so will the price of 980 TIs and gamers will sell them at great discounts. That why I haven't (yet) spent a penny on the 900s.
Because I have 180+ GPU processers in 16 tweaked/multiOS systems - Character limit prevents detailed stats.
