Just curious about why instancing doesn't work from Modo's native alembic exporter. When scenes are exported using the built-in exporter, every object in standalone is unique and as a result, lots more VRAM is used. I have noticed that the Modo Octane exporter includes a .abc option, and that does in fact retain the instancing. So does the alembic format not natively support instances? And Octane is using a custom implementation? Or is the Modo alembic exporter not to spec, and the lack of instances is either a bug, or missing feature?
Thanks.
