Would it make sense to have a Wiki somewhere for the plugin? There's a lot of good information and snippets of how-to in this forum but sometimes it can be hard to find.

I've tried to keep the FAQ for that - but if you think there is anything I've missed, pls let me know and I'll add it.

Hello Paul,

A good idea (imho) is to create a "Usefull tips and tricks" forum inside it we could create new threads only dedicate to tips like Lights, Noise reduction, instances and other special effects in octane

the main post should be updated with new tricks regularly to make them easily findable.

Hope i didn't made a mistake but maybe your one of the administrators ?

I suggest : in http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=34209 and tsome users seems to be interested.

I like the idea - but I am not an administrator - so you need to talk to someone like Fooze for this.

This is a At A Glance summary for Octane for Poser, for those considering Poser for animation.
(I'm new to Poser so correct me if I'm wrong)

Possible:
Poser dynamic hair strand
ZBrush Fibermesh hair via Poser as polygon
Poser Bullet physics including soft body
Poser native characters (P10 & P11) default skin shader (95% usable fidelity 5% minor transparency fix)
Poser native figure rigs (99% production ready with easy to fix minor bugs)
Scattering/ instancing by surface normal/axis, and/or gradient map
Selective Dial-linking for key frame animation on Octane control panel
SubDivision / Sky/ IBL could be done on either side
LiveDB preview and interactive change
LocalDB for those with slow net speed (thumbnail WIP)
Octane shader save-able as POE, Poser-specific Material Presets for Poser files with same material grouping
Load POE Material/shader presets options: with or without textures

Side note: Poser outputs Alembic for certain soft dynamic objects (hair and native soft dynamic cloth), no idea if this is relevant to Octane but just in case.

Please add to this if I miss out key features, especially for pipeline and time-conscious animators.
