Maya to Standalone

My expectation is: Export All > OctaneRender scene > Launch Octane > Open .orbx file > Hit Render

But in standalone I get a giant "Outliner-like" list of every mesh and material in my scene, a nightmarish pink blob of what I think are supposed to be nodes, and an empty preview screen, plus the Render icon (all icons, actually) are greyed out. I'm guessing this is just not friendly, intuitive, or plug'n'play in any way, but I'd like to know if it's even supposed to work/possible to work, first?

hi Mike, sorry just saw this. I'm unsure what you're seeing, but I assume the blob is on the nodegraph pane? if so, you can have the standalone automatically re-arrange this blob for you into the nodegraph that it should be, just click on the icons at shown below:
