This build has some minor improvements to the node graph and to texture handling. It also incorporates the latest 2.25.0 build of the Octane SDK.
Octane Render for SketchUp x64
Octane Render for SketchUp x64 (Demo)
Several users have made good suggestions regarding changes to the way the node graph works, such as leaving out some inessential nodes and rearranging the connections to make the graph a bit simpler and easier to work with. These are good ideas and I will definitely be investigating changes along these lines, but this sort of change requires some fundamental rewiring at the core of the whole graph manipulation system; it's not the sort of thing I can fix with a few tweaks to the graph window alone, unfortunately. So, while I certainly hope to be able to give you these improvements in the future, it's not something I can deliver overnight. Stay tuned!
I've also been looking into the issues some users have reported with texture scaling and alignment sometimes showing unexpected differences between SketchUp and Octane. I've made some improvements there, but these issues were always difficult to reproduce, and I can't be sure I've tracked down all the bugs in this area. If anyone is still seeing this problem in the latest build, please try to give us a reproducible series of steps that will reliably demonstrate the problem, and I'll take another look at it.

hi captian
nice to see some develepment
i have a few questions (sorry...i'm just an architect)
1. what does
2. does thise node function give us more controls over settings in the different scenes?
3. is there a video tutorial that show the use of this?
4. can we somehow keep the nodegraph window on top? maybe a third part software?
5. how is the nodes connected to the sketchup scenes? if create a new should'nt there be a new render target then?
6. i find this very interesting
keep up the good work.

Abby, our expert documentation writer, has been at work updating the SketchUp plugin manual to keep up with the recent changes. Among other improvements, there is now a page on the node graph window.Jorgensen wrote:3. is there a video tutorial that show the use of this?
The graph window in the SU plugin is essentially the same as the graph window in the standalone Octane renderer. You can find the relevant manuals here, and some tutorial videos here.
thanks for the feedback
crashes
i'm trying to experiment with the graph window, but i experience a lot of crashes - one of them can be seen in the attached video.
is this a known problem that the graph window makes sketchup crash a lot - or is my installation that might be the problem?
question
when one open the graph window, could the graph be zoomed to fit (like the middle button do) automatically?
idea
if goemetri is named in sketchp - could it be possible that octane named the gemetry nodes the same?
system
windows 7 professional

Thanks Captain for your work. Good to see things moving on.
A bug - when I want to remove the material map node in the the node editor SU crashes. BTW is there any chance we had an option to make our custom node structure superior to what Octane does? I mean when we hit refresh button I'd like to keep my custom node structure, not rebuild it from the ground.

Just checking in to let you all know I'm still here! I haven't been able to do much work on the SketchUp plugin recently because another project is taking up most of my time; as much as we'd like to have a developer dedicated full time to each plugin, we don't have enough people for that to be practical, so we all have multiple demands on our time. Don't worry, we haven't forgotten you; I'm still paying attention to your reports and will continue improving the SU plugin in future.

Slightly off topic, but would be extremely helpful moving forward. Will there be native support in the future for Skatter plugin. Reason for this is the idea of populating a large file with more components is very redundant, and defeats the point of speedy visuals. Is there a possibility of moving ahead with the Skatter team? Thanks.
