The live update for HDR Light Studio v4 doesn't work in Octane versions after 1.9.

Please fix this functionality, it was one of the reasons I purchased Octane.

Thanks for the link.

Unfortunately, I'm using version 4 of HDR Light Studio. I just installed the latest Octane release mentioned in that post, 2.15, and it does not work with version 4 of HDR Light Studio.

Is this more fallout from the way in which the material handling was changed which make older Octane scenes incompatible with new versions of Octane?

Hey,

As was said in the post referred by Jimstar, the issue comes from Light Studio not being able to work with the new Octane properties. This issue was not from the plugin, but needed to be handled on Light Studio's end. The improvements applied to their v5 release have resolved this problem, but it appears that older versions were not included in the scope of this effort.

The only viable option in your situation would be to upgrade to Light Studio version 5. As the issue is not a bug on the plugin-side, there isn't anything that can be done to resolve this problem. Going on feedback form users in the forum post Jimstar referred to, using version 5 will work for you.

Apologies for the inconvenience.
