Mirrored normal maps render inverted

One issue I am having is that normal maps on polygons with flipped UVs render inverted. Game engines, and even several offline renders are able to render these situations correctly, so it would be great if Octane Render could do this as well.

I wonder what happen if you enable the invert option in the normal map on the selected polygons with flipped UVs :roll:

OK, so that appears to work, but it also means that I must isolate any mirrored faces with either a mask or a second material, which is less than ideal. Since you are a plugin developer, let me ask, in your opinion is this something that could be compensated for by plugin developers?

I second this being fixed correctly. This is common place for games and other renderers, as was stated. It should be trivial to implement in Octane, there's plenty of reference out there as to how it's done.
