I have a new issue with octane. I have done multiple rendering of a scene. When I go to render it now Octane gets though the first sample and then my computer completely locks, I have to hold down the power button until my system reboots.
Has anyone had experience with this, is there a fix?
update: if I turn off all the octane texture nodes and have none in the scene it does not crash. So do I have a corrupt texture node that could cause this?
Thanks,
Paul W.
Some specs of my system:
Octane for Lightwave 11.6.3
Octane build 2.23.2.1
Window 7 Po
Intel i7 5820k
DDR4 32gb 3000mhz
OCZ Vector 480gb SSD
Evga GTX Titan X SC
Computer locking up

Is it possible that you have a displacement that is set waaay high? This could be the culprit if so.
Win10Pro || GA-X99-SOC-Champion || i7 5820k w/ H60 || 32GB DDR4 || 3x EVGA RTX 2070 Super Hybrid || EVGA Supernova G2 1300W || Tt Core X9 || LightWave Plug (v4 for old gigs) || Blender E-Cycles
I removed the displacement map and now it runs fine.FrankPooleFloating wrote:Is it possible that you have a displacement that is set waaay high? This could be the culprit if so.
The displacement map was for 3" tall grass, the only displacement map in my scene. Good call, you saved me a lot of head ache.
Thanks!

Glad I could help. And dude, use instances for grass... you will never, ever, go back.
