Material Mix Issue - Please Help!!

I'm aiming to make a flag material with gold text on it - I've achieved about half of what I had in mind however I'm using a "silky" black material and another material with the desired text on the opacity channel, both put together in a mix material. I'm using C4D



This has essentially worked, but the only issue is that the opacity from the gold text material has gone over and affected the silky material, making the whole mix material an ugly version of what I'm looking for. Is there any way to put that gold text on the black material without the black material going semi-transparent?

Put opacity texture to Mix material, not to sub materials.

One way to do that is to make a mask from the text and use it to control the mix. Also check your opacity settings on the materials, they both should be 1.
