Just a thought. You DO have SLI disabled when running Octane? It does not support it. I also notice eveytime the GPU driver updates, it switches SLI back on by default.

Yep, I've made sure I disabled it.

For giggles I removed Poser and Octane, and re-installed it. I used the traditional library location (in program files, wiping that out) hoping that using the modern user location would work. Also wiped out the user\appdata\roaming directory as well.

Still doesn't work. :x

I - thanks for sending me the scene. It was missing a couple of the texturemaps - but still rendered without error on my system (much lower spec than yours). So it points to some sort of hardware issue. Have you tried UNDERCLOCKING your graphics cards?

Tried underclocking, only one card installed. Same results - Cuda error 208 with a blank viewport, and standalone Octane worked.

I think your next step is to try one of your cards in another PC with the Poser plugin - which I think will work fine. But that will at least validate that is it most probably a motherboard/power supply/RAM issue. I assume you power suppy is adequate? Also worth trying the latest Poser plugin TEST release. Plus - are you using Poser 10 or Poser 11? Poser 11 is potentially doing things to your GPU - so check the Poser 11 render settings for anything which looks odd.

Power supply is adequate, calculator recommended an 850 watt supply, I have an EVGA 1000 watt platinum.

Tried the test plugin, that seems worse, although the log offers a little more info:

could not request a tonemap because we don't have any renderthreads available.

Additionally, sometimes it blows up Poser too:

I think you will really need to try your cards in a different PC (or motherboard) to track this down.

Well, I ordered an i7-6700K Skylake CPU,motherboard, and RAM so I'll see how that goes.

Not sure on the game not running SLI (Battlefront). I loaded up Killing Floor 2, that runs SLI with both GPUs being utilized. I also just installed DAZ Studio 4.8, Iray ran and used both GPUs as well. So my system is do SLI in Windows 10. Also, during previous testing Octane standalone utilized both cards.

OK, this HAS to be a software problem.

I got my new Intel Z170 motherboard, CPU and RAM. I've installed Windows 10 clean on this system. I installed Poser 2014 latest version without any of my library or preferences copied over, Octane standalone then activated, then the Poser plugin and then activated that. I am having the same exact error as I had before. Octane standalone works. HELP!!!
