I bought 'Abandoned Gas Station' by Bluebird. When I load the scene all materials converts correctly except the terrain. The terrain uses a grass tile material which is much too large in the scene. In the v1 plugin there were controls to reduce the tile size of the texture but I can't find this in v2. I tried loading various OcDS grass textures but the same problem occurs and I can't find any controls to reduce the dimensions of the tile. I'm not talking about the amount of VRAM the texture uses but its actual tile size in the scene. Anyone know how to solve this?

Ok, I eventually worked out that you have to go into the node editor and switch to 3D Scale to resize the material tile. One BIG problem with this is that at first it's possible to reduce the size of the tile by inputting a new size (0.005 - why so small?) and pressing "enter" but after a few changes OcDS stops allowing inputting of new numbers. I highlight the input area but it won't let me input new numbers at all. I've encountered this problem elsewhere and it's a recurring problem that I never encountered in v1 of the plugin. Also, it was not necessary to press enter every time a new number was input into a parameter.
I really would prefer the v1 way of altering tile sizes that was accessible from the materials pane. This made it a lot easier to adjust grass, patterns and various other tile issues to reach a much better look than the auto conversion sometimes achieves.

I could not reproduce this issue. My workflow was 1) Load G3, 2) Open the Viewport, 3) Select the Arms material 4), Open the NGE, 5) Select the 2D Transform, 6) Repeatedly enter Scale X values - at no point did the Scale X value stop accepting numbers.
Pressing enter is a requirement for the plugin to know to update a value in Octane.

I've come across his before.Spectralis wrote:I bought 'Abandoned Gas Station' by Bluebird. When I load the scene all materials converts correctly except the terrain. In the texture in Daz you can adjust the Horizontal and Vertical tiling which will increase the density in Octane. If I recall correctly though, you will need to force reload the scene in Octane.
The grass in this scene does this;

I does seem odd that a scene created specifically for DAZ doesn't load the terrain texture correctly. I'll contact the dev who created it. Your suggestion about altering the texture in DAZ is easier than doing this in the plugin.Hydra wrote:I've come across his before.Spectralis wrote:I bought 'Abandoned Gas Station' by Bluebird.
