ColorCorrection - lower contrast?

When I add a Color Correction node, the default contrast setting is .001 and I cannot lower it at all. It would be twice as useful if it defaulted to 1 and could be lowered accordingly. I"m on Windows R17 latest stable 2.42.

You can get better answer in a standalone topic. It's not modifiable by plugins.

You may control lower contrasts by using a mixTexture and the same imageTexture with an Invert node. The Amount of the mixTexture will control the lower contrast. Of course, you may connect the mixTexture to a ColorCorrection node...
