Hi Smicha,

I got the Aquaero 5 Pro because it was cheap. $100 bucks brand new from Ebay. It's enough for my purpose. I know I really don't need a flowmeter, but I like gadgets/bling factor.

Are the EK PWM D5 pumps able to be controlled by the Aquaero 5 Pro? I was thinking that I should just stick to Aquacomputer D5 Pumps because I know that they have no issue being controlled through the 5 pro or 6 for that matter.

Is this the one you are talking about? EK-XTOP Revo Dual D5 PWM w/Serial Pump Top and mounting brackets.

The Airplex radiators tend to do best with low rpm is where they really shine. I can get more fans which is not a problem. I almost went with EK rads. I think is was that I value quiet over performance. I can always replace the Airplex rads with something else down the line especially if I upgrade to pascal gpus in the future if performance becomes a issue.

I'm going to get some fan slitters. Probably the modmytoy splitters with extra cables.

The motherboard PCie slots alternate as follows: 16x 3.0 slot, 4x 2.0 slot, 16x 3.0 slot, 4x 2.0 slot, 16x 3.0 slot, 16x 3.0 slot. Take a look at the link.

I'm going to order a pcie 16x riser so that I don't have to mod a 780 to get rid of the secondary dvi port. That means that I should be able to fit all the cards and use a triple or at least a double parallel manifold. Triple would be ideal, but due to the pcie slot spacing that might not work. I'll have to double check.

It's not about access to motherboard ports. Those are easy to get to, plus it's not like I would need access all the time. Once the cables are connected that's it.

It's a great motherboard, but I guess in hindsight I should have been more careful with my selection. I can make it work, but my preference would be to use a manifold for a neater appearance.

I have the room for a STH10. I'm leaning towards that case since it looks like I will have this type of case for a long time. I can always drive up to LA to pick it up if I wanted to do that. Might as well get a case with plenty of room.

Damn fittings are expensive! What about Barrow? A lot of people use and like them.

D5 pumps are branded by different companies Laing pumps. AQ has some special edition with temp and flow sensors pumps.

This is the top with the pumps I mean - I tested a single version of this top and there is nothing better out there in terms of mounting and noise reduction. I even removed Bitspower mod and tops from Piotrek 2x Titan Z build and got the EK top. What makes me sick EK does not sell the dual top without pumps.

I use PWM motherboard fan input to control pumps speed from motherboard bios. They are powered by molex cables. I use aquaero for fans and temp only.

BTW get extra fans to cool north bridge - look at my build - the are two fans on the floor, but I have a revered CL case.

Get also some flex bay fan mounts for the front STH10 panel and get some fans for free flex bays.

If you want keep your machine super clean you may order from DemciFlex website pretty expensive dust filters for STH10

Airplex are best quality - no doubt about it. But they are flow restrictive and pumps must work harder. In the 4x Titan X build (this forum) I got 2x coolgate and flow was great so the temps. Anyway - you got them and there is nothing to regret - their quality is exceptional.

Barrow are great - quality and price but shipment from China requires larger order to make it attractive. Look at aliexpress for best quotes. I was imposed extra costs from customs when ordered via DHL, so bear this in mind.

The Airplex Radiators came in yesterday. Wow do they look great! Also got the temp sensors and a black face plate for my Aquaero 5 Pro. The there still is more stiff I need to get, but I'm getting closer. I'm going to look at barrow fittings. I've never been hit with customs duties yet, but there is a first time for everything . I'll draw up my loop and do a cost comparison barrow vs. koolance/bits power/ek fittings. You recommended flexible tubing vs rigid. Aside from ease of installation are there any other reasons to choose that over acrylic tubing? If I go with ridgid tubing, I wouldn't bend it. I would of course need more fittings if I went that route.

I'll revise my first post to reflect what I have on hand. How do you attach images? I want to take some pics with my crappy iPhone 6. I really need a camera. If you Smicha or someone can tell me how to imbed images, I'll also attach my loop schematic.

To embed images you may use 'upload attachment' or link external images uploaded to any server using "[url]....[/url]"

Go with primochill clear tubing or ek zmt. Don't go with acrilic tubing unless you want to go for pure look. But this requires different fittings and cutting or even bending if you want so. From years of experience I can tell that there is nothing better than EK black industrial norprene-like ZMT tubing and koolance 10/16 fitting, even better than bitspower. Barrow are great and much much cheaper than BP.

I think your right about the tubing. I'm going to go with your recommendation of ek ZMT tubing. Easy to cut and install and it will look good. I'll probably get fittings that have some color to them like a red or green compression rings to contrast against the black tubing. I'm going to get ek's dual d5 pump assembly. It really is pretty slick and compact. Thanks for that recommendation as well. I'm also going to get black or red side panels for the radiators. The cabling will be red/black for the psu with black for the fans and red sata cables. The only problem is my motherboard is green, so I may switch to green/black for psu, black fan cables, and green sata cables as my color scheme.

I bought some more fans, 250mm ek res, fan splitters, and 3pin female to 3pin female black cables.

No, the quad bridge fits only with te same cards and same waterblocks but the most important is that they have to be spaced evenly every 2 slot. So for 3+1 gpus I think you'll have to go with a similar as mine solution. But think also about acrylic SLI connections. They are universal for any amount of gpus, just in case you want to go with 2 or 4 gpu you always may get rid or get extra ones. So for 3 same gpus you'd need 4 sli acrylic tubes and 8 fittings. The 4th gpu will sill require a custom solution (90 deg. fittings for sure).

Got some more stuff in. The last of the items coming in will be 2 Aquacomputer D5 pumps, EK ZMT tubing 10/16mm, a few more aquabus cables. I hate doing this but, I'm going to get the EK dual D5 pump assembly, so I can get the pump top. I'll either keep the pumps as spares or sell them on ebay. This is really the only top that makes the most sense for me. I want everything controlled by the Aquaero 5 Pro which is why I'm going with the Aquabus D5's from Aquacomputer. I really want that pump top.

The last of the items will be the case, fittings, EK Dual Revo D5, and probably another 32 gigs of ram. I did order a green cable set for my PSU. The fittings will probably be black and red. Last but not the least will be some case filters, because I sure as hell am not going to let my case get dusty after all the damn money I've spent!

I ordered the SMA8 last night. It's what would fit in the space. Smicha the case you have is huge! The fittings are on order from China. In about a month, I should have all the remaining parts and the case from LA. The fitting will take about 15-20 days to get here from China. Usually quicker then that.

Thank you Smicha! I'm very happy with my choice. Ugh! I did forget a few things mainly mounts for the flex bays i.e. Aquaero, Blu-Ray drive. I'll order those soon and have them sent with the case when it's ready. I know I'm forgetting something else! I'll have to go through my list and double check it. I did pick up two LG 25UM57 25" IPS panels today for $189 each. I needed to upgrade my aging Asus 24" panel from years ago. Got my PSU cables from CableMods today. They are green and look really nice. I had to order them from the Netherlands. I couldn't find them anywhere. Paid a little more, but I don't care. I wanted them.
