Xparticles/R17/MacOS difficulties

Has anyone else experienced some X-Particles difficulties after updating Octane to 2.24.2-R1 and c4d to R17?
Cuda driver is up to date too...
If i turn on particle rendering at the Object Tag ("Spheres"), the spinning beach ball of death appears...
Did I forget something?
Id appreciate every hint!

Please try with updated version and put a scene to allow to see what you do.
