Hi all,

Recently I had to reinstall my PC, so all the applications had to be reinstalled again.
When I finished with everything and got back to work, I noticed that when I started rendering (I use Rhino Octane Plugin) that desktop performance was impacted much more then before... almost all other apps were working extremely slow... I could not watch youtube videos normally ...

Before the installation this never happened... but all the settings are the same, GPU priority is at low setting, I have all the newest drivers etc... what could it be?

Here are the system specs:

I7 970, 12GB RAM, GTX 770, Dual FHD Screens, Rhino 5 SR12, Octane for Rhino 2.24.2.56, Octane Standalone 2.24.2, Windows 10 x64 Pro.

Thank you in advance

Hi - did you click Apply after setting the render priority? https://docs.otoy.com/Rhino/?page_id=21. On a new install, you should also install Octane Standalone via the EXE installer (not the ZIP) to set your windows timeouts. There are also some Rhino OpenGL settings with influence the lag from Octane. With Octane 2 you really need a second graphics card as your Window display adapter if you want to avoid UI lag. However Octane 3 vastly improves the lag with a single graphics card, so I suggest you give the latest TEST release a try.
