hey,

i am relativly new and unexperienced in 3d and since i am just a simple photographer octane is in many ways quite a challenge for me
it takes a lot of time to to get things done but every once in a while something great comes out. and therefore i love octane

here is the reason for my post:

i texture my geometry (like masks) in zbrush with photographs i did i think
when i bring the object to octane somehow everything looks disappointing
i would like it if the skin had more of the

i am wondering what my main mistake is:

- texture?
- details (bump, displacement etc.)?
- light?
- shaders?

i would be very grateful for hint and tips how to make my work a bit more stunning

i know there is plenty of information out there. but it is actually tooo much
since i am beginner i am quite often confused and these infos are overwhelming

also i don´t allways know what to search for

i´ll attach some images and will also put the octane file incl obj and texture here:

(this is not a real project. just did it quick and dirty for this post)

by the way: i am using a standalone version (2.24.1)

hope to hear from you
