A word about texture resize and saved with duf :
- seems that when resized texture is now saved ! but only those which have type (in texture tab). texture that have no type , VRAM in parentesis, stay sill '1' even if resized (not saved).
- BUT, if you restart a new scene (restart DAZ studio) and start a new figure (V7 for ex) already resized texture in other scene, its textures are also resized for this new scene !?

Not test with V3 (GPU crash pb with V3).
Could someone confirm this bug ?
There was a bug in the early version of DAZStudio 4.9 where settings were not being cleared when you start a new scene. This was fixed in 4.9.0.54 - are you running that version, or an earlier version of DAZStudio?

Hi

There is one bug I don't think has been mentioned before, inherited from 2.23.

If you zero a figure in DAZ (Edit -> Figure -> Zero -> Zero Figure) it disappears in Octane completely and cannot be brought back in any way I can think of (the figure needs to be loaded again).

I use DAZ Studio 4.8.

I use this feature often and it works fine for me. using DAZ 4.8 and the actual Version.

Are you sure you use "zero figure" and not "zero figure pose", "zero figure shape", "zero selected item" etc.? The bug only happens on "zero figure" and is confirmed on two separate machines (my co-worker can also re-produce this issue on his computer)

I know what the problem is. You have to go the parameters tab and look for octane render visibility and crank it back up to 100%

Hi,

My PC has been down a for over a month but I am finally back up and running with a clean slate and a new motherboard.
It is really great to see further development happening towards the DS plugin.

Based on a fresh installation of applications and OS with the focus on DAZ Studio 4.8.059 and OctaneRender_2_24_2_win64 with OctaneRender_for_DazStudio_2_24_2_5_Win64

I have one issue with the interface I have been able to resolve - the Icons for the Octane Main / Viewport / Materials is missing from from the DS Interface that normally reside beside the Camera Icon
They are showing up in the custom tool panel though. Red Arrows to represent issue.

The secondary issue has been a long standing one that t_3 was looking into but hasn't been resolved. It used to work in the past but a few builds ago it broke.
DAZ / Octane / ZBrush and GoZ ( this could be more of a DAZ GoZ thing, not sure )

Example:
Sphere added to scene and has a 'Default' Surface Name / Hit GoZ to send Object to ZBrush - sculpt - remesh and GoZ back / The new object comes in with a surface but no name but Octane's Material Tab
with register the object but will not accept any material application until I rename the surface in the Geometry editor.
Granted an easy fix but the process becomes tiring especially when testing Fibermesh :)
Light Blue represent issue.

Cheers Adriano

Hi - there are a lot of bugs being reported here. However there are some bigger challenges getting the new render passes and baking camera from the latest Octane API working in the plugin. So my plan is to have the next release purely contain Octane alpha 2 features, and then start looking at bugs after that.

Thank you very much for the heads up Paul :)
Amazing what a simple thing like communication can do to calm the masses ;)
