Hi aeolian001, I am a bit curious about "It does not crash when Priority is unchecked".
Was all 3 cards checked?
Should be other way around, are you use Octane 2.24 or Octane 3.0 Alpha?
In 3.0 Alpha Priority is disabled.

i am using version 2.2.. just went to render a scene with all three cards enabled. "priority unchecked" after 3 frames it crashed. so im right back where i started

OK. Problem solved. was just about to swap out power supply and for the hell of it, decided to plug computer into a different outlet. apparently the outlet i was was not supplying enough juice for 1400 watts. guess its time to call an electrician. thank you everyone for your help. btw, I have priority selected for all 3 GPUs and no problems.
