Hi Troops
I'm practising working with the Octane plugin (3.0 beta) for Modo 901 (sp3), and I'm lighting a car with a custom HDRI and using a ramp created in Photoshop in the background.
I understand (I think) the whole kernal/alpha/background thing but my issue is I can't hide the lighting HDRI from peaking through the windows, thus blocking out my Photoshop ramp.

To the clever people, thanks in advance.

Hi Paul
Thank you for replying.
I tried that already and I still get the same result.

I thought that the poly's were flipped, no, then I deleted the surface normals, nope, and I checked that they had proper thickness, like a real window.
I'm also using the OctaneLiveDB Clearglass material.
As this is not a commercial project, I can upload it if you really need me to.

As a side note, loading this car into the Modo/Octane 3.0 beta plugin is super quick, nice on guys.

I did a whole search on the forum as I guess this wasn't a Modo plug in issue.
I found this:
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=51542&p=256819&hil ... on#p256819

I checked "Affect Alpha" on the Octane material, not the Kernal and Wolla!!! Problem fixed :)
