No, you don't need to have standalone installed in order for the Poser plug-in to work.Where is the 3.0 Standalone? and do we need it to run 3.0 plug? Thanks.

At first I was a bit confuse about:
"Download Links
Download the plugin from the following link:
- OctaneRender for Poser 3.0.0.65 (32 bit)"
on Page 1 here ... but it actually loads the 64bit version =)
Thanks again PAul, for this update. Greatly appreciated.

So, why did I ever buy the standalone? Will I need the standalone V3 to run the Commercial release of the V3 plugin?
Gateway i5 3.2ghz, 16g RAM, GTX 690 4GB VRAM, Windows 10 64bit, Poser Pro 11, DAZ Studio Pro 4.9, Daz Octane Plugin V2, Poser Octane Plugin V2
I fixed the 32bit reference on the download link - sorry about that.
No, you don't need to install Octane Standalone 3.0 alpha to run the 3.0 version of the plugin.
Yes, you still need a Standalone license (this is the license to use the Octane renderer).

IMPORTANT: For release 3.0.0.65, if you pause rendering, change an Octane setting, then continue rendering, the Viewport will freeze (and you will need to refresh the scene to restart the Viewport). This will hopefully be fixed by Otoy in the next release of the API.

Anyone else having issues with the 3.0 installer on Windows 10? Whenever I try to open it (via standard, administrator, and/or compatibility) I just end up with a spinning wheel next to my cursor, but it never gets around to actually opening anything. And half the time, file explorer freezes too.
Other .exe files open fine, though oddly enough, older octane installers seem to be exhibiting the same issue. Meanwhile, my currently installed plugin is working fine, just outdated.
Another thing I should probably mention is that my computer suddenly went through the "Fall Update" about two days ago.

That appears to have worked. Thanks!Have you tried disabling your virus scanner?

(You'd think the scanner would have given me some indication that it was blocking it though.

I have refreshed the Windows installer at the top of this thread with:
3.0.1.66
- Compiled with Octane 3.0 alpha 2 (3.0.1)
- Added Baking Camera. The Baking Group Id for each mesh can be set in the Node Properties window of each [Mesh] item in the Materials tree
- Manual updated with Octane 3 features. Pls see https://docs.otoy.com/Poser/?page_id=432 for details.
I hope to have the OSX version working with Octane 3 in the next week or so.
